Mike Roberts has spent the past 22 years working with troubled
youth. Mike along with his wife Lynn were the founders, executive
directors and full time house parents at Rainbow House for
Children, a Therapeutic Group Home for children with severe
behavioral problems and learning difficulties. As the children's
resident director for 15 years, Mike was confronted daily
with children whose anger and frustration at life caused them
to act out in violent ways. It was in this setting that he
developed the proven communication techniques contained in
this video to help raise the self-concept of these children,
which was the root cause for their violent behavior. Not only

Language coming from your child’s mouth Then begin to empower your child to
solve the problem with these Tips. Question the meaning of the
word by saying, “Wow, that’s An interesting word, what does it
mean?” “Where did you learn it?” Next, use the moment for
discussion. You may be able to talk about other
things.
Ask your child what he or she is
really mad at. Explain that if you are mad At someone or something there are
better ways to explain it than Dirty Language. Finally, explain the
rules for bad language in your family. When kids know what is absolutely
